Basic Tips for Health Professionals Treating Eating Disorders

So here we have Alex Raymond coaching us on some approaches to helping those with eating disorders from the perspective of the health professional. The first step being that you come to grips with dealing with eating disorders. The second step involves bringing in the family. The third is making a clear distinction between your client and his/her eating disorder as to make sure they don’t “become” them. The fourth is understanding the physical ramifications of such disorders. And the 5th and most important of all is to always lend an ear.
