Today, Kathy welcomes Tara Deliberto, PhD, and their conversation is about treating eating disorders in adolescents. Kathy and Dr. Deliberto cover a lot of ground in this episode including information on Integrative modality therapy (IMT), food restriction, parents/carers, and reinforcement.

Tara L. Deliberto, PhD, is the creator of Integrative Modalities Therapy (IMT) and author of Treating Eating Disorders in Adolescents: Evidence-Based Interventions for Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge Eating.  She is an assistant professor at Weill Cornell Medicine, the medical college of Cornell University. Deliberto opened and directed New York–Presbyterian Hospital’s Eating Disorders Partial Hospitalization Program, where she now trains doctoral students in the treatment of eating disorders. Deliberto also maintains a leadership position at the Academy for Eating Disorders, as well as an editorial position at Eating Disorders: The Journal of Treatment and Prevention.
