Today, Kathy welcomes Dr. Susan Albers, and they talk about mindful eating skills. Dr. Albers describes how about 75% of eating is triggered by emotion and not hunger and discusses the 5 S’s of mindful eating as well as what she calls the 5 5 5 5 5 exercise that we all can start using today to begin eating more mindfully.

Susan Albers, Psy.D. is a New York Times best-selling author and a clinical psychologist at the Cleveland Clinic.  Dr. Albers is the author of nine mindful eating books including her latest, Hanger Management, EatQ, 50 Ways to Soothe Yourself Without Food and Eating Mindfully.  She has been a guest on the Dr. Oz TV Show, TODAY show and NPR and her books and tips have been featured in Shape, Prevention Magazine, Self, Health, Shape, New York Times, and Fitness Magazine.  www.eatingmindfully.com
