Today Kathy welcomes Ann Saffi Biasetti and their topic is embodiment skills in eating disorders recovery. They define embodiment, provide examples from Biasetti’s work, and explain how it ties into recovery from eating disorders.

Ann has been a practicing Psychotherapist for 25 years. She holds a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology and is licensed as a Clinical Social worker. Her doctoral work explored the role of self-compassion in eating disorder recovery. She maintains a private practice in Saratoga Springs, New York where she specializes in embodied psychotherapy and eating disorder recovery. She is also a certified yoga teacher, yoga therapist, embodiment teacher, mindfulness and self-compassion teacher/trainer and author. Her first book, Befriending Your Body: A Self-Compassionate Approach to Freeing Yourself from Disordered Eating, will be released through Shambhala publications in spring, 2018.
