Grief and Eating Disorder Treatment

Grief when tied to eating disorders is a heavy thing. Grief weighs on your heart and can have a life long impact. Eating disorders make everything that feels bad, worse. Eating disorders can cause both physical and emotional pain. Sometimes an eating disorder starts because of a great loss or intense grief. Eating is something that you can control while whatever caused you grief is something that is probably out of your hands. In order to cope with grief, an individual may try to control their food, which may lead to an eating disorder.
