Laura Cipullo, RD, CDE, CEDRD, RYT is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator, Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian and four-time author, with almost 20 years of experience as a dietitian. Her private nutrition practices located in NYC and NJ are supported by five dietitians and a staff of 15, and specialize in eating disorders, diabetes, family nutrition, and lifestyle consulting.
Laura is on a mission to neutralize the word ‘diet’, and bring it back to it’s original definition: habitual nourishment. Through counseling, meal support, and mindfulness-based practices, Laura and her team strive to help all individuals develop a positive relationship with food and the body. In March of 2017, Laura founded the L’ifestyle Lounge, a weight-neutral wellness center in Closter, NJ. This self-care center offers yoga, mindfulness, and nutrition consultations guided by Laura’s own personal philosophy known as “Positive Nutrition.” Laura is known for her motto, “Eat Kale and Cupcakes!” Follow @LauraCipullo and @EatKaleandCupcakes on instagram.

I am a licensed psychologist with specialized training in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating. I work with children ages 9+, adolescents, and adults. Often my clients suffer from other conditions including: depression, anxiety, ADHD, Asperger’s, self-injury, and post-traumatic stress disorder. By striving to meet clients where they are, and creating a safe, accepting environment, I help clients access and strengthen the part of them that wants recovery. Together, we understand the adaptive functions of the eating disorder and develop healthier ways to express feelings and needs. I include family members to educate them about the eating disorder and enlist their support. My approach incorporates psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, family therapy, and dialectical behavioral treatments. I collaborate with nutritionists, physicians and psychiatrists. In addition, I run a support group for those who are emotional overeaters. I am a member of the Academy of Eating Disorders, IAEDP, and the American Anorexia and Bulimia Association.
