Stepping into Mindful Eating

Being mindful while you eat can help you with many food related problems. It could keep you from over eating which is a problem many of us face. It can cause obesity so should be curtailed if at all possible. This could also help people who have suffered from an eating disorder to have a more positive relationship with food so they can overcome this serious illness. Eating disorders should not be taken lightly at all.

Key Takeaways:

  • Take the first at least 10 minutes of eating to stay off your computer or phone and just enjoy eating.
  • If you cannot get in a full meal plan for snacks throughout the day.
  • Eating too quickly will not allow your stomach to tell you that it is already full which gives the awful feeling of overeating. Slow down.

“Taking the full 30 minutes first to eat mindfully and then de-stress will make your work day more productive.”
